An armed rhino poacher in South Africa’s Kruger National Park was trampled to death when a herd of elephants charged as he lined up a shot for the animals’ lucrative horns
He was quickly over run and the elephants trampled him into the earth and all that we found was basically a very large blood stain around the clothing he was in.
Metal

A Nimona meme in the wild?
Metal!
My 2nd favorite animal saving my 1st favorite? Get fucked poacher. Haha! Yes!

Animal solidarity. Love to see it.
For anyone who didn’t read the article oh man it was a gem!
“For us it’s a big boost when the animals win and poachers lose. The Kruger is huge and we can’t be everywhere so it’s nice when the nellies give us some help!”
It goes on to mention other times animals have absolutely annihilated poachers! It was fabulous!
Good.
Elephants provide a reason to hope and rebellions are built on hope
Therefore, rebellions are built on elephants!
Just like the diskworld
Good job elephants!
I love elephants.
Why isn’t it more socially acceptable to discuss why, or more specifically who causes the horns to be valuable?
I feel like you didn’t read the article

Elephants are such smart and plain cool animals.
I hope the animals and the environment weren’t meaningfully damaged by his presence and subsequent death.
If anything, I imagine his thoroughly pureed corpse acted as a useful fertiliser for the near by flora.
One source mentioned lions grabbing an easy meal
Thank you, I really needed some good news today.

Is there an article from a more reputable source than the Daily Star?
Confirmed on the South African National Parks website:
I want to believe though…
I searched briefly but found mostly sketchy reprint sources. One seems to say lions came along and ate some of the corpse as well, which good if so. But I didn’t see a date of occurrence either. That’s partly because I wasn’t clicking on Agree to the cookies and conditions, though.
