Yep. Within the city limits of Vancouver WA it’s becoming more reliably blue, but as soon as you hit unincorporated Clark county…well there’s a confederate monument. And Clark County is probably less red than the other counties also in the district. I do have my frustrations with Gluesenkamp-Perez, but we were depressing close to having the clown-show that is Joe Kent as our representative.

I think things are slowly changing, but unfortunately there’s still so many people here who’s whole schtick when it comes to politics are “HURRR DURRRR WE AREN’T PORTLAND LIBTARDS”.

MuCh wOw, sO WiNnInG. Because this totally makes an impact on the lives of everyday Americans and is not a pointless gesture only to stroke the ego of a deranged toddler-in-chief. Now let’s sure we spend lots of money on new signage to reflect this new name change because that’s critical infrastructure and this administration would never waste waste money on pointless things. Ya’know like stuff healthcare, supporting the power grid for anyone besides bloated data centers, road construction, wildfire prevention, etc…

I think many people are able to make a distinction between the technology companies and the technology. However in this particular discussion…how many companies are there actually offering smart glasses as a product to consumers? I’d argue as far as the general public is concerned the answer is only Meta right now. A company with a HORRIBLE reputation in regards to privacy. That makes it more theoretical in separating the idea of what smart glasses could be versus the reality of what they currently are. And right now, to me, smart glasses, particularly Meta’s glasses feels like a product with SO many privacy issues that I would question the judgment of anyone who chooses to use that product. Maybe that won’t be the case in the future, but unless things drastically change in regards to consumer data privacy standards, I’m going to stick to being very suspicious of them.
