119·9 days agoThat barrier to entry is absurdly low. If a game isn’t making sales, it’s not Steams fault, it’s advertising. ANYONE can list games, which means there is a lot of chaff on the market.
I’ll admit that it’s not a great deal for people in poorer countries. Steam isn’t a public utility, though. You can post to itch.io for free, and there is a MASSIVE userbase there
Glad you admitted your mistake.

333·9 days agoRecall, percentages are projections for masses that can only count to 100. It is, as this data demonstrates, a very limiting projection for logarithmic scales. When folks can see the cliff, they truly see the nepotistic curation Valve rerewards. There’s no «Surprise me!» like in spotify or bandcamp. «New indie titles to try!» «Indie of the week!» etc…

Did you just came off internet class or something? I am just another crossposter. @inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world was the first to give the scammer a 🔁.
I did tell @redacted@infosec.pub who a is supposed to address, if a really wants to correct the Journal’s mistake. Everyone else that upranked a’s comment can do so as well.

Gaming@lemmy.zip•Rather than calling for GTA 6 boycott, fired Rockstar workers urge players to support them in their legal battle against the studio by buying union merchEnglish
3·11 days agoaware of the term “crime syndicate”
This was intentional, because your state doesn’t want you syndicalizing. If they associate cooperation with “crime,” you won’t ever unionize yourselves. If everyone syndicates, the state wouldn’t have the power monopolize who gets to business and who has the privilege to operate. Some intentions of laws are good, but monopoly on who gets to decide who and how things operate is how we get this cronyism.
