This is me any time I’m going somewhere. If I have to get on a plane at 1PM, I’m arriving in the airport at 9AM at the latest. Otherwise, I just feel increasingly anxious the longer I wait. I’d rather spend three and a half hours sitting in a terminal than be stressing out about whether I’m going to make it in time.

This is me. Last time I was so early there was another flight, going to the same place I was, getting ready to board. On a whim I asked if I could switch to that one since I was there already, and managed to get a seat. I was home before my original flight even took off lol.

Life hack: forbid yourself from checking the time on the way there. That way you won’t be able to keep checking to make sure you’ll be there on time (and hurrying as a consequence), and it’ll force you to set off long enough in advance.

I used to try and be at my job site that early just to have a little peace before the storm.

You do you, then. If your boss is ok with you being late regularly, it’d be a job to keep. Mine had a 3 strikes your out system

I have the same problem, especially if I’m riding a bus/train. I need almost exactly 15 minutes to the train station. This means, that I should leave my apartment 20 minutes before departure, which means, that I will leave 25-30 minutes before departure, because I’m stressing out, that I might miss the train. This of course means, that I will be there way to early and promise myself, that I will leave a few minutes later next time, just to repeat the exact same mistake.

I’ve read that this is common among people with ADHD, but I very much do not have ADHD and I very much struggle with this.

As someone with ADHD the first two frames…maybe, if you’re the type to hyperfixate in that.

The latter two…I have never been early to anything ever.

As someone with ADHD, the whole comic is me exactly. I’m never late to anything ever because I literally can’t think of anything except the event until it happens, and I’m also super stressed about missing things so I always leave early.

If pigeon had a job to keep him occupied & stressed-out all day he could approach the evening plans like a normal person pigeon.
