It’s supposed to do that though, just like any other vehicle notification. That’s why they install all of those light indicators. Check Engine. Low Fuel. All of those things.

Not a screen that pops up telling you specifically that you have some days left to service your vehicle. Especially in all places, where you start up your vehicle, where your MPH is measured .etc

Or any error issue.

It’s already happening, not this aggressive. My kia vehicle for example, it will display a prompt screen on the dashboard. Telling me about how I have X days of service left. It is telling me, indirectly, that I need to change my oil or do something when I looked up what it was.

Windows taking a page out of Apple’s book. Apple’s way of forcing you to buy new products from them is when they make slightly more newer things of the same-ish specs, with minor tweaks and with massive marketing pushes. And support starts dropping quickly.

Windows seems to be doing this, by passively telling you to do it. The biggest plus with PCs over Apple, is we decide when we want to upgrade. Until you make a better OS, which is unlikely Microsoft, I’ll upgrade my hardware when I want to and if push comes to shove, I’ll get Linux or I’ll pirate your damn OS like I have done for the past 5 Windows OSes.

Bluesky didn’t have a strong of a hold on me, tried it, wasn’t impressed with what was there before deleting the account. Getting too burned out on social media in general to really be invested in these kinds of platforms. The fediverse is more or less my last rodeo.

How would you be so sure? So few know of the Fediverse and most don’t see it as a comparison to things like Facebook, Reddit .etc

Considering the amount of damage some of the things cause to people, I really do wonder what lengths people will go to, to continue indulging on their brain rot. Yes please, bundle all of the shitty social media platforms possible and put a $40 tag on it. Let’s see how many people are willing to pay, to spread their toxicity and radicalized ideas. I would love to see the stats on that.

Also Net Neutrality is kind of dead already.
