Having known a few Aussies, I have never heard them leave out “that”. It fits in though with some of the other oddities in dialect they have.

It is kinda funny that they mixed up Stevie wonder with another Blind musician. Quite a blunder to mix them up though, Stevie has such a distinctive look.

It is quite common in my experience to use “getting a check” as a figure of speech. Similarly I’ll say “I get my check every Wednesday” but I have direct deposit. And I’m not even old lol

I’m a millennial, and I still dress all emo even in my 30’s. My 20 year old coworker even complimented my black skinny jeans with zippers in random places the other day.
