This is me, but with my own emails. Even something like “Have a great day.” just reads like a “Go fuck yourself” in my head, regardless of context, and so I tend to overuse exclamation points to make the tone very clear. I’ve very much got the 'tism, so having clarifying punctuation and even the more accepted use of emoji in work communications has been an absolute blessing for me not immediately assuming the worst in a work communique.
And honestly, you can make a lot of really good bread quite quickly. Leaving out proofing for a bit, it’s less than watching an episode of a show. Bread it also easy enough that you can totally watch a show while making it, and not worry about chopping off your fingers lol

Yes, but imagine they’re as prolific as Starbucks and with 5x the amount of sugar as a normal soda. Everyone thinks the south is the sugary drink capital of the US, with Coca-Cola being in Georgia and sweet tea being the official drink south of the Mason-Dixon, but compared to the shit that comes out of those dirty soda shops in Utah, they’re like LaCroix and plain black tea by comparison.
Since they can’t do “hot drinks”, my coworkers there would typically drink 2-3 Monsters or 20oz bottles of Mountain Dew in a typical workday. It was absolutely insane to see.

This had an interesting part in Westworld, where at one point they go to a big database of minds that have been “backed up” in a sense, and they’re fairly simple “code books” that define basically all of the behaviors of a person. The first couple seasons have some really cool ideas on how consciousness is formed, even if the later seasons kind of fell apart IMO
I totally get that, but what I don’t understand is why Progressive was so reasonable compared to literally everyone else for literally identical coverage. It’s like for whatever reason they were the only ones who didn’t care I was in that <25 age bracket.
I’ve noticed that some insurers give insane “fuck you” quotes for no reason. I had Progressive under my parents since I started driving, and when I got my own insurance, it was around $500/6 months through them. I wanted to get other quotes from some other insurers and the rates were absolutely insane by comparison. Like, $500-800 PER MONTH. I have no idea why they were so much more. I know there are loyalty discounts and such, but I don’t think they’re going to be ~85%.
Having both an extremely enjoyable and fulfilling job, as well as having a long sabbatical that same year, fucking around can honestly get boring real fast.
All those ADHD traits pile up real fast and I honestly felt worse day-to-day than I did working absurd hours at a job I really like. There’s a balance, but honestly having fulfilling structured work to fill at least part of the day is super important. I’ve personally noticed that I tend to go a bit batty even if work is slow and I’ve not got much to do, so having that bit of structure really helps.

Which is one of the things that people seem to forget about with Microsoft when they think that them pushing Linux is some nefarious plot to kill Linux and get everyone on Windows. At this point, it's like 12% of their total revenue. Not insignificant, but they're likely going to see far more growth pushing products related to Azure, which most instances are going to be running some sort of Linux VMs.
Microsoft saw the writing on the wall a while ago, and knows that the desktop and even embedded environment is a small slice of the computing pie. They would obviously still prefer to own 100% of that, but they also saw that there's a finite number of users and devices that'll use Windows, while there's effectively an infinite number of things that people can put on their cloud services. Even if it has to be a "competing" OS, they're making a shitton of money regardless.
