Huh. This is literally the best advertising veilguard has ever had.

You know, i prefer my cyberpunk dystopias to be ballsy enough to just say it with their chest. You’d never catch Lofwyr groveling like this.
I’d also very much prefer dragons, or at least technological implants, but whatever.
I am very interested
Sounds neat
It’s a wonderful game, you always feel a little lost but somehow going in the right direction
Especially memes, tbh. You can see the bots more easily when they try for humor, makes the reddit communities for it feel so uncanny.

Humans have a complexity fetish I’ll never understand. Nothing is ever as complex as it seems (in the way it seems, anyway).
Ew gross, they need to drop that bedrock nonsense already.
A new, unique mob that can actually be threatening in a place that isn’t borderline impossible to come across without deliberately looking for it? Not perfect, but it’s a step up from their usual. Now if they bothered to add some more trees…
I’ll never how these people don’t know they’re the bad guys, and how they just accept it if they do. Like, they only make things worse, they’ve never once added to the world.
Well I’m in
Patent trolling should be illegal and, not being a crime of passion and thus able to be deterred by consequences, should have insanely harsh consequences. I’m talking the dissolution of a company or trillions in fines.
The only people denuvo helps is the denuvo owners and Empress.
Because they don’t care. They talked a big game, pointing out obvious flaws for normal people, but they just want to get a profit on their day trading. Investors are also terminally stupid, they have no pattern recognition, so when a company cuts operating costs the evaluation will very temporarily go up even if it’s objectively a bad thing in every possible way. I assume the grift is clear going forward from there.
I fon’t think frequency was ever the issue. If anything most people would probably prefer slow updates. The issue was how completely vapid their updates are.
And adding another console is the literal last thing they should do. They need to drop support for anything but a single version of the game, they’ve ran the parity excuse into the ground already.
Mod support is always great, but it’d have to be pretty in depth to give me the only thing that’ll make me play more; a harder break from the crappy 5e mechanics.
I feel there is absolutely a space for games that push boundaries at a higher price point. Games that push a, frankly, ridiculous level of graphics fidelity, games that have a genuine branching narrative on a demanding scale, games with handcrafted worlds that dwarf other games, new technology in general. Just anything that needs an inordinate amount of work when compared to the average game.
But that isn’t most games. You can make a pretty good game out of your garage on a shoestring budget (or even for free, if you cut costs) these days. The real cost of making a game isn’t rising, major studios are just bloated beyond belief and just making a profit isn’t enough for the leeches.
For bg3 in particular; they had average (around 100mil) AAA dev costs afaik, but for some stupid reason they had (a guesstimated) 200mil ad budget! They seriously do not need even 1 million to get their game in front of the targeted audience, that’s so insanely excessive.
Never heard of it, but it sounds really fun.
The sequel hasn’t fallen through
