Interesting, I never used digg and didn’t know about it’s history. It seems like they could have easily fought back bots with captchas, email verification, phone verification and so on.

Bumping works just fine with the “New Comments” sort of Lemmy, which lemmybb uses.

Looks like this is just wrongly named, maybe it was copy pasted from the community ban. Probably not worth the trouble to fix it, as it would be a breaking change for clients.

Maybe its both. For me lecho.be only shows a message that it requires a subscription.
