it’s a metric for food I buy, and anything less convenient that a gas station hot dog that costs now power calorie is a hard sell. I don’t live on has station hot dogs, but they are, in my opinion, a good standard for convenience food value.
I also drink soylent, which is only like half as good as hotdogs, but the nutrient balance is incredible.

I evaluate basically all my food with what I call “hotdog math”. my wife hates it. my local gas station sells hotdogs at 2/$1. the free toppings can push the calories count near 550, but I know nothing comes close, so I round down to 500. milk beats oatmilk on hotdog math, and carries a wider diversity of nutrients, to boot.

it is pretty terrifying to debootstrap over ssh. constantly checking that you’re on the correct system, and using the chrooted terminal. it’s like a high wire act. at least the first few times.
debootstrap makes this easy, and familiarity with that process introduces chroot skills.

I’m trying to discourage you from making baseless accusations against other users. those accusations can be phrased “this is what propagandists do” or similar. that’s a total cop out.
if someone is spreading misinformation, most communities and instances have a rule against that; report it. if someone is saying something that is true and happens to align with known propaganda, the situation gets very sticky. if you feel you must refute something unsaid, I strongly recommend that you clarify, before and afte, that you are not making some accusation against the particular user.
personally, I would simply nuance their oblique fact to try to reframe it in a way that doesn’t benefit the (suspected) propaganda message, or leave it alone.
accusations of shilling are fucking toxic to the community. it requires a high level of proof.
