Disagree r/place always was what i showed my non reddit using friends and at the moment half of the people seeing place are twitch users.

Also i can’t think of better place to advertise the fediverse than a picture with fuck spez all over it.

I would say using r/place to promote the fediverse would be even better and more fun.
