I also really like the tunnels feature. It makes self hosting at home easy for those under NAT/CGNAT or whatever it was called.

Porkbun asks for your ID now so that might not be “privacy-respecting” but their CS is very helpful from my experience.
I have domains in Netim and Spaceship, and I have no problems with either so far.
ArchWiki has a list: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Discord#Third-party_clients
Ripcord is really unique and it’s still my favorite third party client. Abaddon might be worth trying. Unfortunately, most other third party clients are wrappers.
I found discord-screenaudio
to be a better solution.
I'll check it out. I use discord-screenaudio
myself.

Sounds good! NVIDIA cards work well with Resolve on Linux.
Are you using an AMD card? You might run into some trouble.
Also there's a codec suppport list here: https://documents.blackmagicdesign.com/SupportNotes/DaVinci_Resolve_18_Supported_Codec_List.pdf
It says that for Windows, only 8-bit H264 is support on free. For Linux, H264 is only supported on Studio. On MacOS, it's supported on both free and Studio hence why you have no problem there.
You're welcome. I think there should be a better way to communicate a removed or banned community. Maybe like a "removed/banned community for X reason" sign instead of the "community_not_found" error page.
I believe those bans are people who are banned from their home instances and can’t interact with the rest of Lemmy with that account as a result. If I ban another user from a different instance, that doesn’t mean they’re banned everywhere but only from my instance. Correct me if I’m wrong.
The favicon is the instance icon. You can change it in Admin Settings > Icon from the web interface.

I really want to say Gandi but they charge too much now and removed the free mailboxes.
Anyway, I’ll vouch for Netim. Their prices are similar to (old) Gandi and they have a mailbox too. I’m looking into Spaceship for some other domains because they’re really cheap.
X11. I heard NVIDIA is buggy on Wayland. Also, I’ve never really had much problems with X11 and my system setup.
I’ve kind of gotten used to the first issue already. I don’t know if I can switch to the non-DKMS drivers now that I’m using the LTS kernel though.
This sums up the NLE situation on Linux pretty well. I personally use Resolve and I wouldn’t have touched Linux if it wasn’t available on this OS. As you mentioned, an NVIDIA card and the Studio license are pretty much mandatory for a good experience.
I’ve tried LW before but I never really liked the workflow. I don’t know if they’re still 720p locked on the free version.
I’m gonna wait for the platinum ultimate mega collector’s anthology edition at a 90% discount after 7 years.
