The latest patch was kind of disappointing and I hope they do tweak some of the issues, but I’m still looking forward to the new expansion reveal tomorrow. The teasers were pretty neat so far.

Which only works when timezones exist. Without timezones, the question would need to be “what time of day is it in <location>?”, and you’d get “morning” or “afternoon”. Any answer to that question is inherently more fuzzy than 8:25 or 17:16.

I dislike the microtransactions as well, but there’s an insane amount of disinformation about them in these discussions.

Almost all of the items are easily obtainable in the game by just playing, so there’s no gating of content behind the paywall. It being a single player game, there’s also no competitive advantage to be gained by buying them for real money (or inversely lost out on by not buying them)

The whole discussion is blown widely out if proportion.

Yeah, I’m really not sure what happened to those $40M for marketing.

I remember showing up for tenth grade, looking at the list of assigned classrooms in the first day of the school year. Instead of the usual the digit number, it said “C1”. My classmates showed up, and we’re just as confused as I was.

The C turned out to be short for “container”, which we found in a corner of the school grounds.

That said, being able to quickly go outside in every break was pretty neat. And the school actually did get a second building only a few years later.
