Absolutely, which is why I said Reddit is too far gone. This is also why I was advocating for ways to integrate paid subs without limiting content access or providing priority publishing.

I’m not convinced it’s 100% the worst idea though. The fediverse is entirely self and donor funded. Paid subs as an extension to free tiers might be a viable solution for a platform like this. Not Reddit because they’re too far gone, but if there was some kind of enhanced feature set along with improved moderation and overall program support by way of paid subs, it’s not all that different from how the fediverse operates. Of course I would argue that paid subs should not be limited in content or offer any means of priority publishing and completely optional for users and anons alike seems like a fair idea.

It’s a very enterprise thing to do. Ensuring your company gets a contract for long term support and installation.

Bluetooth is a questionable choice unless the company also offered some kind of network appliance that incorporates connections in a cheaper way than all units being networked. Allowing the hub, as a serviceable component, to provide additional monitoring and functionality without requiring each unit to also contain the components. There’s certainly reasons, not outlandish either, but who knows?

I’ve been using Debian for many years now. The hardest part about switching my desktop to arch (partly to try something different, partly for later kernel / tools) was not that arch is difficult, but that I need to type ‘sudo pacman -S’ instead of ‘sudo apt install’ to install new packages. It is functionally the same in my day to day use which is fantastic.

I think Epics would be a great addition, based on how I currently plan to use this.

Very neat, excited to demo this later this weekend. Is it possible to add multiple swimlane groups that can be filtered by tags? That is, not just add a vertical swimlane but add a whole new horizontal group so it’s visually separate with the same vertical lanes, but each horizontal section automatically filters by some criteria.

KVM + LookingGlass + VirtManager should be the way to go. I don’t have a good complete tutorial on this right now though. But good place to start looking.

There’s base building, frigate and fleet management, and better dog fighting and battles. There’s also more guns and mechs and vehicles/more sentinel types to fight. The variety is there but the game is still all about what you make of it in your time playing.

Store them in a colder spot. I personally like freezing them. Wrappers always come off cleanly.

Holy shit! I did not see that coming. I just got the mainboard case to convert my fw13 so it can be stashed away on my homelab for some ancillary services. Assuming the price is right, I’ll have to consider grabbing one to put in my now-empty laptop! Very exciting.

I’m ok with it. There’s plenty of content I’ve missed out on and memes are meant to be recycled into jpeg artifact oblivion. If anything, this just helps bolster the amount of content available on these platforms that can help new users not feel like joining an empty hallway echo chamber. It’s part of the growing pains of trying to get new / alternative platforms up and running.
