Dude, Dad, Dingus. Other things I am sure.

I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and have experienced a few issues.
Mostly with game performance after it goes to sleep. Not sure why. Doom eternal was struggling at 45fps, but then I rebooted it and was getting 200fps in the same area on the same settings. It’s made much worse if my son was playing a game and put it to sleep while the game was open. Even switching profiles doesn’t improve it.
It gets stuck in a loop sometimes as well with CEC, I ended up turning it all off.
Sometimes it wakes itself up after going to sleep via the power menu, but if I let it wait 30 min it sleeps on its own no problem.
But other than that I love it. It’s such a great device and it has pretty good performance for its power usage.
I have just started rebooting the machine after I wake it if I know the kids were using it.

I very much look forward to this.

In a lot of countries casinos and gambling are perfectly legal. So why should loot boxes or blind packs be illegal but not casinos?
Don’t get me wrong, I would rather buy a skin than risk money on a loot box, but at least with valve if you open the box and get something you don’t want you can sell it or trade it for something else.

So should we ban pokemon cards as well?
We need to go deeper.
I bought it because I read about how much they put into steam deck optimization and how they think everyone should aim for that.
I love it! It took me a bit to iron out all the kinks with my network, but I am completely happy with it now.

I use Linux on my own machine and my self host d stuff, but my wife has a Windows laptop and at work I am the windows admin. So I use all the windows there.

We just switched from YNAB to actual and my wife really likes it. I host it locally with tailscale so she can access it from her phone anywhere.
I do. Years ago it was just google family stuff. I share it with my parents and wife and sisters. We have a decent library of shared movies(we don’t buy those anymore) and we all use YouTube music. Ad free YouTube is a perk to it. If we cancel, we all lose it and I’m sure Google would not let us be a family scattered around the country.
Splitting the cost makes it worthwhile, we watch a good amount of YouTube and we enjoy our kids can also watch stuff on the tv ad free.
