Live by the explosives, die by the explosives. Good riddance.

Article didn’t bother to show the piece, but from the description it isn’t nearly as interesting as many other Rubens paintings.
The fact that another great artist, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, owned this painting once is a bit of art history nerd knowledge that is fun to learn. Bouguereau’s depiction of the human body and skin tones is, in my opinion, the most talented.

I’ve played every single Civ game well past the time its successor was released, and at some point have always eventually moved on.
Now, after obsessing as Peter on Pangea map with Critical Thinking as my entertainment based religion, I’m realizing I may not update this time. Ever.
The next version sounds absolutely lousy. I may just go back and start regressing - although I’m not sure I could find copies earlier than 4. I still have 5 and 6 on active machines.

Why go through the hassle?
Set up Jellyfin and use your VPN to fill it with whatever you’re wanting to pay corporate overlords for.
You’ve paid for the IP already from the years of subscriptions. At this point they’re just draining everyone dry. Stop letting them.

The first season is rough.
Honestly if you kinda skim and get the story points to learn who everyone is and what is generally going on- moving on to the second season without finishing the first is completely reasonable.
Everyone was trying to work around the actor that played the lead during the first season- he had an unfortunate mental breakdown during filming and was replaced by Bruce Boxleinter for the rest of the show after season 1, but this naturally made everything more difficult for everyone, and the quality suffered temporarily.
Once you get about 3-4 episodes deep in season 2, you’ll forget all about season 1.

Blasphemy! It is only Babylon 5 that is worthy of such scrutiny.
~*after you suffer through the first season~

My buy date is six months after release. For this exact reason.

Smart people don’t buy games until they are actually finished anymore. Stop feeding bad business practices.

As someone who works with integrating AI- it’s failing badly.
At best, it’s good for transcription- at least until it hallucinates and adds things to your medical record that don’t exist. Which it does and when the providers don’t check for errors - which few do regularly- congrats- you now have a medical record of whatever it hallucinated today.
And they are no better than answering machines for customer service. Sure, they can answer basic questions, but so can the automated phone systems.
They can’t consistently do anything more complex without making errors- and most people are frankly too dumb or lazy to properly verify outputs. And that’s why this bubble is so huge.
It is going to pop, messily.
Yeah, not a choice any of us who work in tech can make. But the small choices we CAN make do add up significantly.
Amazon is already dead to us. Just like Tesla, Target, Starbucks, and Meta.
They will never be purchased from, or supported in any way- ever again.
Proper headline:
“Intelligent People Understand the Limits and Dangers of AI; Unfortunately AI Company Leaders Do Not, and Seek to Silence Opposition”

It doesn’t seem like you understand how to speak properly.
Pseudo intellectualism is when people present false or illogical statements as fact.
And right now, the only person doing that is you.

Sounds like a citizen or fed that is fat on propaganda swallowed whole and without thought is angry that others don’t share his delusions.
Ok, propaganda bot
