Can you not re-download things you've already bought? Closing the store down doesn't usually prevent that.

Yeh but none of that would work now in the internet age. There is literally nothing short of requiring the disk in the console/PC as DRM that would work.
This would just pave the way to rampant game sharing/loss of sales though. 1 person buys a physical copy of a game and then just loans the install disks to 20 friends who all install it too for free.
What software aren’t you able to access anymore that you’ve paid for? On PlayStation and Xbox at least even if stuff gets de-listed you can still redownload if you bought it. Same with physical disks
Absolutely not. It’s used everywhere on the web and other places.
I like this idea.
In another comment I mentioned the problem with communities and the fediverse, where the end result is just going to be 1 community for each big topic which then just goes back to a centralized system with all the mod/admin issues that reddit has.
There needs to be a way to have the same “community” but spread across multiple instances so no one group of mods has control of it. I don’t know how you’d actually do it, but it would be much better and would fit in with the idea and purpose of a federated environment.
It was actually one of the most W3C compliant browsers there is, more so than chromium based ones. Unfortunately google’s near monopoly has made websites focus on working in chrome, not on standards.
Edge wasn’t always chromium. It was their own engine and it was great, but too many people complained essentially that it wasn’t chromium so they switched to chromium.
only difference is that there are is no word like “even” or “odd” for “divisible by three” or “not divisible by three”.
Yep, hence why 2 is unique - there is a word to describe numbers that are divisible by 2, and 2 is the only one of those that is a prime number.
It seems that you don’t know what the word “unique” means.
It’s unique because all the others are odd numbers. This is crazy that you’re trying to argue this.
Like what? Genuine question, have never heard of this.
Well 2 is the outlier because it’s the only even prime. It might not be “special” but it is unique out of all of the prime numbers.
No, I don’t. They chose to preemptively defederate from an instance because some people might maybe not actually break their rules but just talk about their ideologies that the precious admin didn’t agree with.
Why not just handle rule breakers if and when they break rules? Why ban an entire instance because you disagree with some of their ideologies?
Can you explain why you agree with their stance, if you do?
Much of this appearance is due to absurd modding unfortunately. Removing any comments that the mods disagree with so they can have their echo chamber is a good way to give the appearance of a happy and supportive place while actually being the opposite.
Reading the mod logs is an exercise in frustration in a lot of communities here, especially on certain instances.
Explaining the reason for making a decision doesn’t mean it’s an actual good reason btw.
2 is a prime number though……
Is it Just because it’s the only even one?
Windows is blazingly fast on any decently spec’d machine these days. Boot times of like 5 seconds. Everything loaded up after you login basically instantly.
These are reddit clients mate lol.
From the way people that love Sync etc talk about the official reddit app they likely don’t.
There’s also always someone that says “I fixed it, thanks” and then doesn’t say how.
