Hahah yeah water glassing is kind of a throwback that helps keep them even through temp variations. We did an experiment back when we had a homestead a few years ago, where we cleaned any nasties if there were any and then dipped the eggs in oil and kept them in a cool room.

We came back every three months to try an egg. We ended the experiment at 2 years after which 25% of them began to float. The rest were still edible but the yolk wouldn’t stay together when cracked.

Case closed.

These people already gave their money and game stats to Bethesda so what’s the point of whining?

To warn other people off from buying the game? That’s kinda the whole point.

They are asserting dominance. When in doubt, it’s always that.

I had to really work with it to find a handful that actually showed video. Even then, they're hit and miss, sometimes requiring pings to remind them that I exist.

I just love that we can sit here in the fediverse and talk about it without one or the other getting banned. I guess I’m old school first amendment.

I applaud you, I really do. You’ve shown an awareness of the world as it is that many young people don’t seem to have; even as they’ve been inundated with information that might inform them that THIS IS A TRAP!

I don’t fault them, though, because much of that inundation also tells them that if they just ‘apply here for $$’ they’ll be fine and as a kid I know which truth I’d like to believe. My own husband, who is frighteningly bright at all matters other than finance, fell for those same lies.

The truth is that a parent needs to help their kids navigate the “D&D full of monsters dungeon” to take advantage of the build that makes one successful… and while it can be done it’s just ‘nightmare difficulty’. If you can play through this, the rest of life gets a hell of a lot easier.

If you can’t, you’re gonna have to rely on politicians to ‘make things right’. What’s the likelihood of that in this day and age?

@Gingeybook I’d like to posit that you could profit from educating others. Just throwing that out there.

I just figured they put it there for some modder to let people build their own bases.

I gotta say though, in my journey to find other ways to access information rather than using the big names, I often find delays and small frustrations to get where I need to go.

Every time I ask myself if it’s worth it to not give data or money to these sites; whether it’s more important to make sure I’m directing my attention and financial support to other people and other companies? And I take a breath and endure b/c it’s the only power I have in all this.

Is 5 seconds worth it? For me it is.

As a work from homer who gets twice as much done in half the time, I’m eyeballing your own delusion xD

And this isn’t a self assessment, it comes from my boss, who is fighting tooth and nail to keep us from having to go back into the office with numbers and spreadsheets proving it.

These decisions are top down and have very little to do with what’s actually happening on the front line.
