It’s not the public. It’s the corporate copyright and IP holders. Because why should preservation efforts be allowed when the rights holders are letting the IP rot, and sometimes actively deleting source code?

As someone who identifies as an Anarcho-Syndaclist, I’d kindly ask you not to lump Anarchists in with the Marxist-Leninists. Historically, Anarchists usually get fucked over by MLs just as frequently, if not more so, as by capitalists.
Every Anarchist I’ve had interactions with here has been either pretty vocal about opposition to the political and moral leanings of the people you’re referring to, or think anarchist sounds better than Marxist-Leninist, but actually hold to the ideals of the latter not the former.👍Cheers

As a man in the trades, absolutely. I do my best to encourage women of any age to learn a skilled trade. There’s still a bit of a “boys club” sentiment, thankfully it’s starting to die out. There’s not enough people interested in doing the hard work involved in the trades to keep the skills going, even the sexists can’t afford to keep women out.
I have absolutely no issues working next to anyone, regardless of where they are on the gender/sexuality spectrums, all I ask is that they do their share and not be a douche-cannoe.
Maybe unsurprisingly the only 2 asks I have are too much for a lot of people.
2·1 month agoIf I’m understanding the description on the git page correctly, it scans you media library, logs the resolution/format/etc, then searches wherever it’s pointed(torrent trackers?) for better quality versions.
