Cynical and bitter mutualist & consequentialist. I hate accelerationists and their apologists as much as I hate fascists.

I used to want good things, but everyone else seems to be fine with bad things. So now I’m pro-vacuum decay event.

I don’t have access to this account during weekends.

I’m solidly middle aged and the last shooter I played regularly was a Battlefield game (Like a year ago). Despite my age and there being a lot of players in any given match I got good enough at the game to move the needle on matches consistently and virtually always stayed on top of my team’s scoreboard.

Reaction time and aim are important but overrated. Understanding the game’s mechanics at an in depth level is far more important. This was true even back when I was a kid playing Halo PC and CoD4.

  • I did not choose to be here and I resent that there are expectations put upon me when I wasn’t the reason I am here now.

I also resent that I was born just to die one day.

It is also fundamentally horrifying that so many people are born into painful awful experiences and then die, with that being more or less mostly all they knew while alive. And that some people live happy lives on its own doesn’t justify the horror in my eyes at all.

That said, I wish I could be drunk right now but I’m at work.

  • I don’t give a shit about Charlie Kirk, rest in piss, but my celebration is mildly stunted by the fact that this is a dangerous thing to normalize and this is a massive notch in that direction given how huge of a public figure he was and the nature of his assassination being so public.

Of course, the right is largely responsible for that normalization, and Charlie Kirk’s death is actually on people like Charlie Kirk’s very hands. However, for me its just the consequences and the dark future that this seems to push us further into.

Hopefully the right fails to capitalize on his death effectively and we move onto largely forgetting about the piece of shit.

  • Yes, stuff still happened, but it was all mostly local scale in consequences or temporary blips. Conflicts, economic downturns, weather events can all be huge tragedies, but an entire super power cratered in on itself in '91 and splintered into smaller countries massively rewriting the political landscape. And in 2001, 9-11 happened and its arguably a starting point for a domino effect of terrible unhinged shit that followed that also had massive global political ramifications, arguably to this very day.

  • I know that this is all just theater to just destroy any semblance of free speech and privacy on the internet but if I’m completely honest I also don’t even understand people who freak out about kids looking at porn. Like, I get protecting children obviously from predators (fucking Roblox), but also I saw hardcore porn on the internet super early when I was like 8 and the only trauma I ever felt was the fear of being caught looking at it by my parents, who were otherwise pretty chill about me seeing really violent media.

And before me and the internet, kids were looking at their grampa’s/dad’s porn magazines or finding it in the woods or getting some 18 year old to buy it for them. It was harder but I’m telling you they found it.

I feel like a bigger concern for kids right now is microplastics, lead poisoning, and climate change and you don’t see nearly the same hysteria about that shit in mainstream politics.

  • IDK I liked 7 pretty much as much as I like XP. For me it was 10 that was just alright.

My brother convinced me to switch to 11 when I built my most recent gaming desktop and I somewhat regret listening to him but I know dual booting is a waste of time for me and I’m not quite ready to make the full jump to Linux because my desktop has a 4070 Super. It’ll ahve to wait until my next PC. Fortunately, I don’t have the version of 11 with Recall pre-installed at least.

I use my Steam Deck more than my gaming desktop these days anyway.
