Technology@beehaw.org•GTA 6 is a 'singleplayer experience,' GTA Online may be sold separatelyEnglish
25·19 days agoThe $80 price tag has always been for single player though, gta5 online released later than the singleplayer too (but it was free)
I’m wondering if they release online in Jan-Feb next year to screw over all the publishers that pushed their game because of gta6

Gaming@beehaw.org•GOG apologizes for emailing Nazi runes to its followersEnglish
1·1 month agoLooking further into that other thread I see what you mean, it looks like the devs themselves realized the other icons (and even changed one for the game’s logo) but GOG just not have known that. I’ll have to update my reply, thank you!

Gaming@beehaw.org•GOG apologizes for emailing Nazi runes to its followersEnglish
66·1 month agoIt sounds like they knew the most obvious one, from the first apology. Though they did leave that in anyway (emphasis added):
What was displayed in several devices as doppelrune is out of our control. ᛋ was displayed as ϟ on several devices (might display for you differently here as well just letting you know). We should pay more attention to checking it on a different systems and devices. I also recognize that placing two such runes next to each other could create an unfortunate association with symbols used by the Nazi regime. This was noticed before distribution, and out of respect for local sensitivities, the material was not sent to the German community.

Thank god for analysts, always letting us know who they think are available to monetarily exploit

1·2 months agoI think some of it is just aging hardware too, a lot of problems are ironed out after launch by adding options and changing defaults.
I was mostly surprised to see the plan to port the game over at all! It does make for a good test of the new engine though

Gaming@beehaw.org•Meet the players who lost big money on Peter Molyneux’s failed LegacyEnglish
3·3 months agoI think he would’ve been fine if he’d had constraints. When he has a huge budget the games still try to do too much.
The Romero thing is interesting… apparently he can still make a decent WAD, but not every game the guy works on is going to be a banger. Sometimes the marketing team leans in a little too hard. Not to say he didn’t believe in the game, I’ve never played that one

They’re making mojang and king report directly to her, so yeah they’re going after the casual market
Still delusional lol
