🚫 No AI is used in my process
I feel the same way. I’ve seen the argument that it’s analogous to violence in videogames, but it’s pretty disingenuous since people typically play videogames to have fun and for escapism, whereas with CSAM the person seeking it out is doing so in bad faith. A more apt comparison would be people who go out of their way to hurt animals.
Geez, two million? Good riddance. Great job everyone!
Actions do have consequences. Trying to erase posts and people calling you out for what you did and explaining why those actions are bad does not make those things that you did go away and is honestly a bad look. If you don’t want people on social media calling you a Nazi, there’s a really easy solution for that - don’t do Nazi salutes on live TV, don’t make Nazi puns instead of apologizing, and don’t keep regurgitating anti-semetic conspiracy theories like the “great replacement” conspiracy theory.
The claim that the salute has its origins in ancient Rome is dubious at best and ignores the fact that the salute is immediately associated with Nazism. Not a single Roman work of art depicts the salute. Don’t you think that’s a little fishy? There is evidence that it actually originated from the National Fascist Party, under Mussolini. Suffice to say there’s no good evidence that it originated from ancient Rome as opposed to it being a relatively new thing starting from the turn of the 20th century and originating in fascism.
Hitler also did it. The only difference was that Elon Musk did so with more vigour. If he didn’t mean to make a Nazi salute, why did he respond with Nazi puns rather than apologizing?
The customer service part… 😂
Darn. I guess this means me making a Reddit account to confess that Luigi was my first videogame character crush ever is out of the question.
Welcome to Lemmy! I hope you have a great time here! 😃
This adds to an ever-growing list of things.
He created a safe space for Nazis on his platform
He amplified pro-Nazi content on his platform
He offered support for Germany’s far-right AfD party, which uses Nazi symbolism in its posters.
He did not one, but two Nazi salutes during Trump’s inauguration.
He’s endorsed established antisemetic conspiracy theories such as the “great replacement” conspiracy theory.
After receiving backlash for the two Nazi salutes that he did at Trump’s inauguration, instead of apologizing, he posted Nazi puns.
All the gaslighting from his supporters with “you can’t read his mind” “he’s autistic” and “it was a Roman salute/my heart goes out to you” is quite frankly an insult to people’s intelligence.
I was about to comment something similar but you said it before I did. Sometimes I’ll mistakenly open YouTube with Chrome and then I realize I messed up because I have to sit through three, sometimes one-minute long ads just to watch a twenty second video. I’ll typically just nope out and switch to Firefox. The worst thing is they’re unskippable and I swear for some of them the ad actually pauses if you switch to another tab or browser. I’m getting ads even on super old videos so I’m pretty sure it isn’t all to do with the channels themselves monetizing their videos.
Nazis, people who aren’t bothered enough that a Nazi owns it to leave it for Bluesky, and bots, lots of bots.

Luigi’s Mansion 1 is one of my all time favourite games on Gamecube. Probably a controversial opinion but I feel like the sequels don’t come anywhere near as close as the original.
Back on topic, what if someone in an Italian subreddit mentions another person named Luigi? There are many famous and infamous people with the first name.
I’m glad that I don’t use Reddit and have no intention on doing so. I remember there was a very talented artist who was wrongfully accused of using AI and banned on the art subreddit. That artist got banned even though receipts were shown to the mods proving the art was not AI, and I guess with this policy, I’d be at risk of being banned from Reddit altogether because I for sure would’ve upvoted the art if I did have a Reddit account, it was amazing.
A lot of people don’t realize just how huge moose are. I learned that the hard way when mine got far too big for me to mount so I could ride it everywhere.
So happy to see my beloved Paint Tool Sai on here! 😃 Really good list. Didn’t know there were so many alternatives
