Just watched the 2nd episode and it’s was okay but it the main protagonist goes from desert to forest like 3 times walking. No food, a small thing of water. I’m probably missing something.

Checks out
I’m older so probably not in the demographic. I had a PS4 and liked it. My only complaint was paying for online service. But getting “free” games with the service, okay sure. Lol, you can play some games without PS+. I found this out playing rocket League, yay?
I thought about getting a PS5, but I’m not down with the whole rat race vibe. Paying more then retail seems silly. Resellers, nope. After 3 years the luster of having a new console is over. I’m fine with Steam.
Hopefully in Arch already
Like how the NES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had Pizza Hut ads? Or like how the NES and Genesis have McDonald’s games?
Article for the sake of having an article.
Pretty good! I’m liking kde. It’s very user friendly and you didn’t have to tweak the crap out of it.
Depends. Ha ha
RPMs at work, Debs for my RaspberryPi devices. PacMan (Arch) and Flatpaks for home.
Flatpaks are great. I install my core os and gui with the base package management. All my user side packages are Flatpaks. I then use Flatseal to lock down and modify Flatpaks as needed. What’s great is running programs like wine without installing a ton of dependencies and then locking the install from parts of my computer I don’t want it to have access to.
I really like Gnome Boxes but they’re no 3d acceleration for Windows installs yet, right?
Flatseal is good, just not official.
Steam Deck is using Flatpaks so…
Endlessly reading on social media that is not a good from Linux “gurus”. LOL
It’s been great for me, but I wish it had a official gui for permissions management.
The issue with Linux is getting middle management to support it. I’m my experience is based on them laying you off and hiring somebody else. Linux is great but management needs support contracts.
I went back to Stream. I liked my PS4 but just couldn’t deal with paying for a subscription service. I must have collected 60 games and played 7. For most of the time I wasn’t even using the service.
Are there more than just Steam Deck?
Nope. I have to know how fix everyone else’s computer.
This is like removing a safety feature in your car. Like removing seatbelts or maybe anti-lock brakes.
PC gaming on Microsoft Window’s is Xbox gaming. It’s baked into the OS and we’re a generation away from MS charging is you want a “secure” OS.
Linux + Valve means PC gaming won’t be behind a paywall anytime soon.
Just make a chip that is cheaper, more energy efficient and I’ll be happy. I keep hearing that laptops, desktops, consoles and phones don’t matter but for some reason companies in those markets are doing okay (Nvidia, AMD, TSMC)
