Events to include “breathing”
Apparently there’s some huge drama in data hoarding communities about manufacturers switching between different recording technologies, and how everybody is worried that they aren’t going to last for 5-10-100-1000 years.

You could take the interpretation of “ownership” to many ridiculous conclusions, from “all ownership is theft” to “nothing is owned” to “all governent is crime” to “all taxation is theft” etc…
From a practical standpoint, “ownership” is an arbitrary threshold of exclusivity that is generally respected by society under appropriate conditions. Where that threshold and what the conditions are will vary by the type of property and general social sensibilities.
I cannot for the life of me find it, but there was an article before the modern explosion of ML into the public consciousness where a guy found that one of the big search engines offered an API to “rate” nsfw images on a numeric scale. The idea was that site admins could use it to automatically filter content with a bit more granularity.
So naturally, he trained a naive image generating model with the nsfw score as the sole metric of success, and got results much like you describe. Results were pretty much “what if Dali and kronenberg had a baby with slaanesh?”
I mean, I think the described action counts as a proposal…
She was probably on (at least) one knee and she put a ring on it…
I’m pretty sure that’s part of the joke.
Nobody has a problem censoring hateful and harmful content, so long as they’re the ones that get to decide what that means.
In the US at least, fine print isn’t a free-for-all. There’s still a lot of liability for the expectations of a “reasonable consumer.”
Unless a company is big and connected enough to make those protections disappear.
No transuranics, no operations — you know, they take your element — there are some places, your oganesson leaves for school, comes back livermoriun. Okay? Without parental consent. At first, when I was told that was actually happening, I said, you know, it’s an exaggeration. No: it happens. It happens. There are areas where it happens

I’m sure the 2.7 million tonnes of bombs being dropped on them didn’t exactly tip that scale much…
Something something something, fiduciary duty.

To be further pedantic, milk also has a different specific heat which would overcorrect for the density difference by about the same amount.
The calorie is not an SI unit, it’s a cgs unit, and it isn’t coherent or order-of-ten with SI units.
Furthermore, I’m not aware of any market where you can buy energy in calories. Most will be in terms of Wh, mass, or volume, none of which would be coherent or order-of-ten with calories.
Except for food, I guess. But how much utility is there in knowing that you could almost pasteurize a liter of milk with a fun size snickers?
Not really. I stayed at the Venetian last year, and my my room didn’t include the sphere view in either the features or as an upcharge. (The sphere is “part of” the Venetian, so they’d be the most likely to advertise rooms with a view.) Their room is quite a bit further than mine was. They may have paid for the strip view, but without specific advertising they probably would not be able to tell ahead of time if they’d have LOS on the sphere.

Based on the CSMS statement elseware in the thread and my limited google-fu, it looks like swicth one was 9504.50, which isn’t on the list of exemptions.
That said, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Nintendo figured out a few tweaks in the feature list that would allow them to claim it as one of the exempted categories.
