Fuck please no
Fuck please no
Yeah. As I said, RDR1 is the sequel and RDR2 is the prequel.
I love good stories. RDR2 was a good story, and RDR1 is technically the sequel to it. And as I don’t like consoles, especially not buying them for one game, I’ll definitely buy it - if it runs on Linux.
Shit cashgrab by shit organization is shit. Color me surprised.
I always found it weird for people to recommend BitWarden … it just FELT like a company that’ll go completely off track sooner or later. And it did. Oh wonder. KeePass ftw!
LMAO. KeePass ftw.
I maintain a server with 1922 days uptime, debian kernel 4 and a 5+yo old django version running on Python2 with tons of RCE vulnerabilities. Fun times.
Even Wayland works well on Nvidia now
Damn lies. Nvidia works like shit on Wayland and newer kernels.
Any devices, that do not work on any of my machines:
Any devices, that did not work out of the box on any of my machines and needed a seperate package (I use a distro without any preinstalled drivers): Fingerprint sensor, NVidia GPU (only for gaming, it does work just not very performant)
Any devices, that did work out of the box: Every mouse (including the PowerPlay mousepad), every keyboard, headphones, cameras, printers/scanners, touchpads, game controllers
Bonus: Android to Linux OTG networking in both directions
Any devices that do not work with Windows: Scanner, Touchpad (in the installer), Bonus: Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Windows users trying to make their adware delivery platform strapped to a program loader usable (I can install my operating system faster then they can install a program)
I use rsync to incrementally back up / to a separate drive, as well as a drive on another device (my server), which then packs, compresses and encrypts the latest backup of all devices daily, and uploads them to Hetzner as well as GDrive.
It definitely was a good move, but we’ll see if it was the best move.
Waiting a few months could be pretty good in order to calibrate my income vs my spending and how much I can save too, so I’ll probably do that. I’ll fix the worst wounds (nvidia drivers) with a 7600 soon temporarily anyway.
Do you think they will launch new GPUs at CES or just announce them?
If the top 8000 card is at least as good as the 7900 XTX, yes. But as they said they won’t have any top-level GPUs … I’m not confident it will be. I would’ve waited for more information before building a new PC, just as I waited till Ryzen 9000 and x870(e) were released. But honestly, I’m just going to gamble and get the components asap, because there is no real information about RX 8000 or 79950 yet anyway.
If you want to actually replicate one to one - any distro, and use dd or netcat to transfer the root partition. Reinstall the bootloader, update BLKIDs and you’re done. Worked for me multiple times.
Uhm … “How can you wish a person to fail simply because they do not cater to you or that the produce does not please you is beyond me.” - Hitler, probably, sometime.
Your products are shit. Your company is shit. Everything you do and are is shit. You have no value. OF COURSE I WANT YOU TO VANISH AND MAKE PLACE FOR OTHER COMPANIES THAT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE THAN MONEY.
Also, install the generic or AMD specific packages now. Eg. vulkan-radeon or amdvlk instead of nvidia-utils (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Vulkan)
FSR is still pretty good, especially considering it works on almost any GPU. DLSS does not. By far.
Also, Linux.
Steer clear of Windows if you’re not into nearly every bad thing in existence.
Fixed that for you.
