minus-squaretangible@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·edit-21 day agoHere’s what I do to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa. I just remember the following three things. -40C = -40F; 10C = 50F; for every 5 degrees C, you add 9 degrees F. So that means that 25C = 77F. and 40C = 104F, and 43C is about 110-ish F.

Here’s what I do to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa. I just remember the following three things.
-40C = -40F; 10C = 50F; for every 5 degrees C, you add 9 degrees F.
So that means that 25C = 77F. and 40C = 104F, and 43C is about 110-ish F.
Room temperature is 20-25C = 68-77F Normal human body temp (98.6F) is 37C.
So 20s are comfortable to warm 30s are hot to hotter and 40+ is extreme heat.
30F = 0C
50F = 10C
70F = 20C
85F = 30C
100F = 40C
That’s rough but close enough to get a feel what range they’re talking about.
