Correct me if I am misunderstanding the situation but wouldn’t councils be responsible for handing out building approvals?
I could also be wrong but I think for major construction projects the state government gives out the permits.
It appears that an important piece of info has been left out that would aid in understanding this story.
Data centres are a complete waste of space and resources. They need to be completely ripped down and the land salvaged.
