Google and Meta might not be dangerous for USA, sure. But you know there are other countries in the world, right? Remember when Snowden presented proof that big tech companies were being used to spy federal governments in South America? Maybe you don't care about that, but people who live outside of USA sure do.
Yes both should be regulated.
That said, Google and Meta don’t have any desire to geopolitically cripple the US so there is a difference between the two depending on your region.
