As the title says I’m curious if my peers love or loathe driving?

I’ve been able to drive for a few years but never really needed to until I got a job which is 45 miles away.

I absolutely love it and I can’t explain why. It’s quite cathartic, there lots of stimulation and it’s fun to watch all the other cars.

I get to drive through lots of poor traffic jams then on to country roads with lots of cows to shout good morning to.

My friends said I’d get bored of it eventually, spoiler: they’re never right, yet I’ve been doing 500 miles a week for a few months and it’s still so much fun. I don’t care about the weather or the traffic I just like being in the car.

I enjoy driving but I really enjoy riding my motorcycle. All my senses are firing and make me feel alive.

Driving home with a bunch of wasted friends after a night out and just listening to a bit of chill music is the most meditative thing I can imagine.

I enjoy driving in general but I hate the other people on the road because most of them aren’t paying any attention to what they are doing or are just plain unfit to ever operate any machine that weighs more than them.

Kind of weird in the context of ADHD, but driving is one of the few things that I can consistently focus on. Probably because it can lead to severe consequences very quickly if I don’t.

Driving is my jam. I drove my dads car once all the way from east Greece to the Netherlands (2300 km) (it was still there and he was sick) and I regularly go to Switzerland or Italy to vacation (1000, 1200 km), and this summer I’m driving to Norway. Time really flies while driving and somehow I have such a good time. It’s really part of the vacation lol.

I used to drive a lot, and other than traffic, I enjoyed it, especially when I had a fun little manual. I live in the middle of a city with decent public transportation now, and with all the traffic, driving is only enjoyable if I’m leaving the city. I no longer even own a car, so when I do drive, it’s an unfamiliar vehicle and unfamiliar roads, so the first few hours are pretty stressful. I’ve been considering owning a car again, but I’m fantasizing that full self driving will be a thing by then. Lol.
