I’m a sucker for hero based OW style games. I would have played it if ANY marketing had happened at all, and I had had ANY idea it was even launching this year.
The only marketing I heard was the less than 1k players at launch.
They had a reveal trailer as part of the PlayStation State of Play back in May, and basically the entire internet collectively lost all interest the moment it revealed that it was a 5v5 hero shooter.
I looked at it but damn the game looks ugly as fuuuuuck. And it’s not a thing i usually care about. From a technical aspect i would say it’s really good looking, but the colour palette they used and the character design is laughable. The game would need some apex movement or something Titanfall like to save it. But it’s just generic and ugly.

I probably would have tried it too, but the first time I heard about it was when they were announcing the shutdown lmfao
And its called Deadlock.
Deadlock has a better marketing, and it’s a closed alpha lmao
The marketing: “Valve might be making a new game…”
Everyone: “Oh my gooooood!?!?”

It’s still fun, though. I think it has a cohesive look that I would call “visually distinct for gaming purposes” rather than specifically beautiful.
You’re visually distinct for gaming purposes.
Whoa, sick burn.
