Yeah, “Regulators” is an odd ass example. The other book that King released at the same time under his actual name (“Desperation”) was way more memorable drawing from my adolescent mind. Having read both at the time of around their respective release, I don’t remember much about Regulators other than it takes place in a suburb and Desperation is so vastly superior a read/100 and it’s not even close. Wasn’t he the villain in “Desperation” too? From what I vaguely remember, more pronounced in my mind with the body-horror possession shit. Tak is probably meant to be some kinda Pennywise/Flagg offshoot (lost idea) or something
