When I was an engineer student I’ve visited Nexter Systems, the factory where most of the French army protected vehicle including the Leclerc tank are build.

The guy explained to us that the Leclerc was specifically designed to be used against Russian tanks but they stopped the production because it’s not adapted to today’s threats.

Ooopsi I guess.

Edit: for their defense they are also manufacturing the Ceasar howitzer in the same factory.
