for me I consider that a web project so it goes into the typescript folder, if it’s backend only then python
I know it’s a meme but it’s more so incels and less the entire male population
When I was in highschool we installed StarCraft on the school network drive and played it fairly often. One time we were in the design class which has 1 set up with a CRT (I’m not sure why)
Naturally, I launched StarCraft on it and that game fucking came to life on a CRT, the color vibrance was much better, and there was a higher fidelity and depth to the graphics.
I love feeling around my girlfriend’s stretch marks
I boot my laptop. it takes seconds, the memory footprint is like 600mb
With sway everything feels snappy and insanely responsive.
I haven’t had any issues with arch on my laptop for like 5 years now.
Why would I use anything else ?

company: “I want what steam is making and more” shareholders: “brilliant”

I realized when he was talking about mongodb and completely failed to understand the issue he had with it was strictly a design issue created by the team he worked with (or potentially by him)

Theo is a shill and product expert masquerading as a 10x developer when at best he’s an intermediate web dev
based
I think trolling and troll logic is absurdist and humorous where as rage bait is all about engagement farming by inducing negative emotions
guys, it’s rage bait, you don’t have to defend a strawman
how many yoe ?

while still functioning as a normal computer
Reminds me of when a school instructor walked by and looked at my laptop and he’s like “whoa what is that” (I had Firefox running) and I said it was Linux and he was like “whoa I didn’t know Linux could do that”
???

basically where I work right now. our John sadly tried their best but the company did not hire any more engineers. he was the sole engineer for about 7 years and everything is built from the ground up by him. John came across weird issues and used a very stinky legacy language to fix those issues.
about 9 years into his career they hired Andy and Andy tried to make as much sense of John’s code but it was challenging and for the next 5 or so years millions of dollars ran through an application made by 2 developers.
anyways now I’m getting paid a lot of money because John does consulting and Andy found a way better job, but I also get the “house of cards” questions a lot.
I think management thinks they can replace me as well because I came in here and things seem to be running after Andy’s departure.
But if I quit or they fire me the entire company is going under as the next engineers in line will simply quit

To put it into perspective the player model shown when high level players play while have flashier animations which not only look cool but make the player look extremely nimble, it’s hard to explain but you just look way better with skins on to a point where players do make weird associations like “karambit is an awp skin”
the reason why in the aforementioned association is because after firing the awp (bolt action sniper) players will draw their knife instead of waiting for the bolt to be reset.
the draw is animated and on the karambit, the draw is exceptionally flashy, since this is frequently done as a legitimate technique (you move faster with knife drawn in cs) then people see the flashy karambit animation very frequently

me getting games to work:

My music taste would never be on radio
Similarly my music taste is not on Spotify either
I still have a lossless music player to listen to music that likely my artists just decided to not have in Spotify
So no I don’t think it’s an apple to oranges things
Radio sucks ass
Spotify sucks a bit less ass
Self hosting your own collection is the future
for me the project exists because I thought “id like to play with <language> today” but not necessarily “I want to make a <platform> project”
