True that. Captain hindsight to the rescue.
I’m just here looking for brief connections with people over common interests.
My username would suggest I’m a bigger Harry Potter fan than I actually am. I saw a dumbledore meme with outwards-crossed-eyes that I think may have even said dumblederp.
I still appreciate some light trolling/jokes.

Headline aside, if you’re on $150k p.a. you should have an ample emergency fund and frankly aim to live below your means while earning that kind of money in such a volatile employment field.
They don’t want to solve the problem.
I also had a lifetime subscription. I think like with many of these things, they might’ve included a usage monitor rather than a carte blanche closing of accounts. I rarely used it once someone told me Opera had a built in VPN but it’d still be nice to have it available. I would’ve used less than 1gb a year, maybe less than 100mb. I haven’t used at all in in the last three years. What harm does my account bring to their financial outcome?
In Victoria, there’s a number of paths designated for both pedestrians and cyclists. They’re incredibly shit for both parties IMO. Kids, dogs and idiots ruin the experience, I prefer to cycle on the road with cars who are more predictable and follow the rules better. We really need to be building separate walking and a bike/microtransit paths.
I assume it’s the same in Sydney but I have no experience there.
If you wanna sell copies, make it open to everyone.
I get 6mB /s or so, but it copies in the background. I also use it to copy media to my phone.
I use ghost commander to backup to the NAS. No wires.
6v6 and no role queue?
ddr5 was just a placeholder in the above statement, whatever works. TPTB are welcome to release a line of gpu-ram with appropriate connections.
Can we get a gpu that just has some ddr5 slots in it?
I don’t want a folding e-reader, I was a dual eReader with a hinge in the middle that acts like a book.
Using Calibre, they’re much of a muchness. I’ve got a kobo, I mostly eRead on my phone.
And only 3gb.
Turns out ethical wages and materials cost money. I agree that older tech being more ethical as whatever ‘cost’ is may have was paid by the first owner.
There’s other phones with user replaceable batteries. I looked it up a month or so ago. They’re not as ethical as fairphone, but still better than my drawer of working phones with dead batteries.
It’s not enshittification, but there’s a bunch of crappy rss bots on lemmy reposting low quality content pulled from various feeds. I feel like they’ve been abandoned and left to run creating internet litter around this site. I’ve started blocking them because I’m not against bots as a concept, but poorly written or with bad sources they can get pretty tiring. One of the things I appreciate about diggs $5 account fee is that it’d hopefully limit the amount of trolls/spam on the site.
I find the whole screen shot of a catchy sentence from twatter as a post with a clickbait headline pretty frustrating too. The title of the post could easily be the content as plain text. How much are a few billion meme reposts of screenshots of text costing the planet? How much data is wasted sending pictures of plain text around the world?
Everything seems to have a rocky launch these days, but the event/battlepass is effectively free for the coins you earn through play, they’re still releasing skins, a new map or even a re-release of older maps would be nice, as would next map voting. And finally they can simply delete hourglass, worst map in the game.
Not playing a game doesn’t reflect its quality. I still haven’t played red dead 2, gta5, the witcher, assassins creed.
