For some reason spam grosses me out but I’m ok with Vienna sausages. Pretty sure they’re the same thing just shaped differently.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Nintendo’s Monster Capturing Patent Got Rejected by Japan’s Patent Office Due to Lack of OriginalityEnglish
251·4 months agoI’d be interested in understanding if people who think Pokemon is becoming irrelevant spend any time outside of Lemmy or their own circles. I see so much hate for Nintendo and Pokemon specifically, but as a parent and someone who spends a lot of time at kids’ activities, I see no sign of either slowing down.
I may not like Nintendo as a business and a lot of Pokemon games are too similar for my taste, but pretending they are in decline seems crazy to me.

71·6 months agoYes, parenting existed before iPads. That doesn’t imply that everything they used to do to cope with similar situations was correct, or better. Previous generations of parents used to do things that would terrify us now.

261·6 months agoThank you for saying this. I used to judge parents of kids on screens until I had my own. You never know what’s going on and there’s a chance that the 30 minutes of quiet that family is getting from the iPad is the only peace they’ve had all day.
