  • I don’t see why UBI has to remove the rest of social services. Feels like that would fit in the “More social welfare” bin.

I don’t need Bernie to fully understand AI before he continues advocating for the people. He also has enough of a track record to trust that he does not blindly believe the AI rhetoric, which is primarily pushed by the same Corpo types he usually rails against. I’d wager he’s also for adding guard rails and protections.

Its good to keep pushing for good things, despite whatever noise is going on. Perfect being the enemy of good has sidetracked many an effort. Like conservatives have had no problem taking their little victories over the years chipping away at rights before going full out fascist. We need little victories do push back too.

  • You keep acting like your choice is different. It’s the same result. You ain’t organizing a protest vote. You’re talking up a sit in.

Name a candidate. Push for an actual protest vote. The rest of your nonsense is the same milquetoast critique we’ve seen trotted out every election for at least the 3 decades I’ve been voting. You stand for nothing. Just a popcorn fart you’re confusing with actual discourse. It’s easy to offer criticism, but you’re just another finger pointer who noticed people ain’t doing shit and your solution is to not do shit.

    Get over yourself.

    1. You can know things aren’t totally private and should still be able to make dumb jokes without the FBI getting involved.

    2. Does a dumb joke about a bad experience really merit a ‘reality check’?

    3. Social Media company reporting suspicious stuff is a good thing. What isn’t good is the zero due diligence. Just right to the FBI.

    4. It is the fault of the social media for auto-flagging things then automatically forwarding to the FBI. I’d like more due diligence from the FBI too, but we don’t know how urgent they thought it was. Again, no due diligence and they auto-forwarded something to the FBI that must have made it seem like an imminent threat.

None of these are good things. Privacy should still be private. If we’re going to tacitly accept that nothing is private on the Internet for ‘safety’, then it should absolutely be called out when that privacy is violated for little to no reason. And again, some due diligence from someone. All of these things being done without anyone looking into it until the FBI is on someone’s door step is not good. Let’s also note that law enforcement jumping hard on bad information has led to plenty of wrongful deaths and injuries.
