My mom used to donate my old clothes somewhat periodically, and it took me years to realise she was doing it, only because i randomly remembered a shirt i really liked being missing, much like the meme.
My wife admitted that she has been throwing out my old raggedy clothes for years before I noticed. Probably for the better.
