This game is addictive.
For people currently playing, how does it compare to something like Against the Storm or Dwarf Fortress?
Not comparable to DF really, Against the Storm is a closer comparison, but you can set parameters to peaceful and play slower if you want.
To me it feels like Farthest Frontier/Fabledom settlement building with Age of Empires-esque resource management and RTS mechanics

Disclaimer I’ve only played a couple hours. But, unless I’ve missed it, it sorely needs quick keybinds to info-management panels. I’m getting sick quick of tracking down where I put my settlers to work building by building
Press Tab, it shows an overlay for all your buildings where you can see how many people are assigned.
I think you didn’t reply to where you meant to reply
It’s a fun game with a lot of potential, but it’s very much early access. Be ready to encounter missing basic features.
almost like early access games are never worth it
Of all EA games one could spew this take on, imagine choosing one of the star examples of the system succeeding and delivering a win-win-win for dev, gamers, and the publisher
Gamers and having literacy of reality in 2024, lmao
Sorry, I’m just gonna pile on here. So it sounds like you haven’t played it. Because as someone who has, it’s a ton of fun and this article is just saying it will get even better because it’s being supported by the devs.
As someone who has purchased and played. Idk what all the hype is about. For a city builder there’s a distinct lack of management options. And its pretty shallow. Just get a bunch of ox to build shit quick
I have enjoyed my time with this game so far, and I think it’s worth it. Opinions will obviously differ
???
There’s been plenty of good early access games.
